Saving Grace Partners with For the Love of Paws for 3rd MASH Spay/Neuter Clinic for cats

Spay/Neuter clinic

Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center partnered with For the Love of Paws Veterinary Clinic with support from Parkway Animal Hospital, to host a high quality, high volume spay/neuter and vaccination clinic for cats in Douglas County over the MLK holiday weekend. A total of 147 cats were spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped during our two-day clinic.

“For the Love of Paws Veterinary Clinic is proud to be part of the spay/neuter MASH event hosted by Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center. Our team very much enjoyed being part of a much-needed service to our community,” said Jim Wess, Executive Director of For the Love of Paws. “This is a worthwhile activity to help prevent cat overpopulation in our community”, says Dr. Scott Hendy of Parkway Animal Hospital.

Saving Grace will host quarterly high quality, high volume spay/neuter clinics for cats until we are able to start providing weekly affordable spay/neuter services for both cats and dogs this summer. The next clinic will be held at Saving Grace in the spring with dates to be determined.

“Offering this service for an affordable price removes cost barriers and allows everyone to have a chance to provide basic veterinary care for the animals in their care. These clinics are especially important in order to reduce the number of outdoor cats in Douglas County,” says Megan Gram, Executive Director of Saving Grace.

Donations to Saving Grace’s Community Programs make these clinics possible.
