LumberKatz Free Spay/Neuter Clinic for Cats
What Is MASH???
MASH stands for Mobile Animal Surgical Hospital and it is an operation which is run much like the old TV show, M.A.S.H. MASH is when a group of experienced volunteers assemble a temporary surgical clinic in a space such as a gymnasium, church, or other community gathering space in order to perform a large number of spay/neuter surgeries safely and efficiently. The clinic is assembled in a way which makes preparing animals for spay/neuter surgery, performing the surgery and recovering the patient after surgery both safe and efficient. The surgeries performed in MASH clinics are what's known in animal welfare as high quality, high volume spay/neuter. All surgeries are performed by veterinarians licensed in the state of Oregon and all patients are fully anesthetized and given pain medication while they are at the clinic. All cats must be brought in their own carriers. If you would like to help, please consider purchasing an item from our MASH clinic wishlist by clicking the black button above or making a donation on our donate page. Patients at this clinic will receive spay/neuter, rabies vaccinations and a microchip for free, however donations will be accepted. Appointments are available for anyone on government assistance.
